We are about to get busy. Here is what is coming up.

October Calendar

October 1st and 2nd Masonic Youth Conference in Kearney (Followed by a HIKE presentation in Kearney on October 2nd)

October 4th babysitting at McDonald School at 6:45 (we could use some girls for this)

October 8th Corn Maze at 2:00 for members and Jobie to Bees meet at the temple at 1:30

October 9th Trash walk at 10:00 lunch at 12 (this will be provided by the Bethel); council at 2; meeting at 4 (greenery orders will be handed out)

October 12th Cleaning at 6 and Niki’s birthday

October 15th the Dove Real Beauty workshop at 2:00 (for members, jobie to bees, and any young lady who attends with a mentor RSVP by October 10th).

October 16th Lunch and Cleaning followed by meeting at 4 p.m Fun meeting with costumes

October 22 Jobie to Bee Activity at 4 followed by a Pot Luck dinner and Grand Visitation. This will be a FUN activity with our Grand Family and Ogallala.

October 27th Laurie Birthday

October 29th Ghoulish Treats and Casper movie at the Temple (all members and Jobie to Bees welcome to come)

Bethel #4 Summer Achievements

The members of Bethel #4, North Platte attended both the state and international sessions of Job’s Daughters. The state session took place at the UNK campus the week of June 20^thand was attended by Nicole, Kaitlyn, Brandy, Desiree, Kyra, Emma and Katie who served this last year as Miss Nebraska Job’s Daughter. During state session, the girls of Bethel #4 competed in both team and individual competitions. In team competitions the girls of Bethel #4 placed 1^st in Capes and Crowns, 3^rd in Circle of Five, and Sixth in Team Ritual in which they teamed of with the members of Valentine’s Bethel number forty-seven. Individuals saw the girls compete and bring home recognitions on their own right. Nicole received the title of 2011-2012 Daughter HIKE Coordinator based on a essay that she submitted explaining her why HIKE was important to her. The HIKE fund (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment) is the philanthropic project that is supported by funds raised by Job’s Daughters International members. Nicole also received 2^nd place in poetry and 1^st place in the essay competition. Brandy competed in the Spirit Ambassador competition and received that title for 2011-2012. Brandy also received 1^st place in the 1^st messenger competition, junior division. Desiree was chosen for Grand Guide to the state of Nebraska. She also took 3^rd place in the Senior Division for Individual Voice and 3^rd place in 2^nd Messenger Senior Division. Emma was chosen to be a Grand Bethel Representative from Nebraska to Idaho and Espirito Santo in South America. Emma also placed 1^st in New Member Librarian’s competition, 1^st in beginner jewelry, 2^nd in JDI themed scrapbook, 1^st in Obligation, and 3^rd in the JDI Knowledge test. Kyra received 1^st runner up in the Miss Nebraska Job’s Daughter Pageant as well the Verbatim Award, and also took 1^st in Individual Voice, Senior Division.

Some members then went on to San Francisco to attend the Supreme Session where they competed against other members from all over the world. The members attending were Katie and Desiree. They joined with other members from all over Nebraska to compete in both individual and team competitions as well. The Nebraska Supreme Messenger team took 2^nd place in the international competition, and the Nebraska Choir took 1^st in international competition. Desiree Russell received 2^nd place on 2^nd Messenger. Katie received 1^st place on her Majority Member essay and 2^nd Place on her Majority Member Poetry competition. Katie and Kyra were also recognized at Supreme session for raising $1000 for the HIKE Fund. Katie also received the Supreme Guardian Council Scholarship to help her with her education.

Summer’s End

Summer is almost at an end and it will be time to go back to school. Bethel #4 has had an eventful summer between the Grand and Supreme Sessions. Remember to check back for updates, calendars, a list of accomplishments from the summer, and important dates coming up. First one to remember is Grand Officers Retreat in Lincoln. If you are a member of the Grand Family make sure you talk to your Guardian about getting registered. Thanks for stopping in and make sure to check back!

Spring Forward

Initiation is quickly approaching. Do you have your memory work done? Started? ALL members are held to the same expectation to have their respectative stations duties proficient. Learning to prioritize your schedule and commit your time to memorizing your work for an impressive lesson to be imparted is your lesson as a member. At practice each officer Needs to have their memory work completely memorized. Call your Honored Queen or a council member if you would like assistance. We are here to see you do your best!

In preparation for Grand Session each meeting is a dress rehersal of how to perform your ritual work to the highest standards set by the history of Bethel #4. Take each meetings constructive critisisms into stride and learn from them. It will asssit you and the Bethel to continue in its success in competition and you will find many hidden lessons will be learned to make you a stronger and more confident young lady! Think now about your arts, crafts, poetry and librarian’s competitions. Make sure to speak with Robin to get those items registered!! Individual vocals will not have Sam to accompany this year due to her increased responsibilities as Vice Grand Guardian. She would be happy to assist you to find a song that would be good for you.

The members of Bethel #4 your voice will be heard. Your 2nd meeting in April will be election of officers. You are NOT to discuss your thoughts with one another or anyone associated. Any questions must be directed to your Guardian Council only. Remember your election of officers is for the GOOD of the Bethel’s future. You also are able to suggest who you would like on your Executive Guardian Council. Talk to your Bethel Guardian to find out more of whose eligible and begin thinking now about who you want as your council. These will be given to your Vice Grand Guardian and kept confidential. Your council will also submit what is voted on by them for Council appointments.

These are your opportunities to secure the future of success of Bethel #4′s leadership in daughters and adults alike. Do not take this lightly but to heart what is for the GOOD OF BETHEL #4!

Autumn’s Hues

Change. Season’s change and Bethel 4 is about change. The Term is quickly coming to a close and change is upon us. Who is going to change with the Bethel? Are you? Members are needed to show spirit, enthusiasm and dedication to the success of Job’s Daughters. Check your calendars for events prospects may attend to meet the current members and make sure to bring them! The next term is upon us and the officers will change. So must a renewed dedication from our members. Please members attend all events on your calendars, without you there is no Bethel #4. You are the reason for this beautiful order.

Plan to attend the Fun events and the Installation of Officers coming up in the next month. Change can be fun!!

Summer’s End

O.M.G., California Gurlz, and Forever Young are the sounds of 2010 summer. But Rockin’ the Rockies at the Supreme Session in Colorado Springs will also be memories for those who attended of the past summer. Katie,Desiree, Charmel, Kyra & Emma attended with Robin, Sam, Becky and Laurie. Supremely representing Nebraska Katie competed in the Miss International Job’s Daughter pageant where ultimately a 1st ever Brazilian Job’s Daughter was crowned. Charmel placed 1st in her 3rd messenger and Desiree 2nd in 5th messenger. All the girls joined with about 45 girls from Nebraska to sing My Redeemer Liveth and The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything. Securing a 2nd place in the state choir competition.

Supreme offers the members an opportunity not recieved anywhere else. An opportunity to meet other members from across the U.S., Canada, Australia, the Phillipines and Brazil. From hearing a VERY talented 13 year old australian member sing while playing her guitar to an original song she wrote, to a hulu, to sign language performances of pop or country songs, to hearing our own Nebraska members perform piano selections and sign language to celebrating the members at formal opening thru to Installation of the new Supreme officers, the experience of supreme should not be missed. I hope every member will strive to attend Grand Session in Kearney next June and then the Supreme Session being held in St. Louis next July. Plan now to earn your way!!

September your Honored Queen has much planned, PLEASE remember to invite prospective members who would like to also enjoy all the fun and friendship Job’s has to offer!!

Bethel Four has Fantastic Grand Session

Woot! Woot!

Brandy , Charmel , Katie, Kyra, Desiree , & Nicole took Grand Island by storm at the Sea of Adventure Grand Session in June! Many honors not limited to but including: Grand Bethel Jr. Princess, Grand Representative, Daughter HIKE coordinator, Miss Nebraska Job’s Daughter, 1st in Capes and Crowns, 2nd in Circle of 5, 3rd in Team, 2nd in Centerpiece, 3rd in Choir and countless individual awards were brought home. All members should be proud of the representation of Bethel #4 by these members!

Wish Katie best of luck at Supreme as she represents Nebraska in the Miss International Job’s Daughters competition!! She will do wonderful!

Bethel #4 has two council members elected to the executive council of Nebraska Job’s Daughters. Samantha McCrea was elected Vice Grand Guardian and Robin Brown, Grand Guide. What a spectacular couple of years for Nebraska and Bethel #4 members!

Now is the time to ask your friends to join Bethel #4! The excellent honors and opportunities offered members of this bethel are outstanding and deserves to be shared with your brightest and best friends! Invite them today!
